ARTIST STATEMENT

Authenticity is at the core of all that I am and all that I create.  Working in oil paint and at times found objects allows me to build.  It is the process of building, of layering, of scraping that feels real to me. My work reveals my hand and in a sense my spirit.


FASHION AS ART

I was brought up to appreciate authentic fabrics, textiles and craftsmanship.  It has been the "thread" in all my work.  Bringing my art to life on vintage apparel was a complete natural for me.  There is something about leather, denim and military that represents strength and protection.
